Jon Bon Jovi Hosting Barack Obama Fundraiser
The Democratic presidential candidate is scheduled to attend two fundraisers including one at the Monmouth County home of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, where attendees will pay more than $30,000 each for dinner with the Illinois senator.
But first, Obama is due at an early evening reception at the nearby home of Phil Murphy, the Democratic National Committee finance chairman. Tickets for that event are $2,300. The events will boost the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee run by Obama's campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The visit comes one day after Obama's Republican opponent, Arizona Sen. John McCain, accepted his party's nomination.
